First of all: sorry. I’m supposed to provide a new update every week, but last weekend was more than thrilling… Let me tell you.
On Saturday me and some other Italian guys decided to rent a car to buy some needs and go out for the night.
Everything was perfect, but as we came back from the mall I realized that my phone was in the car. Not so annoying, but I asked for the keys and went to the car.
A few seconds later I was swearing keeping the left hand under cold water. The car’s door on the finger…
The result was that for a few minutes I couldn’t even try to move the finger, and the keyboard was off-limits for all the weekend.
And, of course, I had to give up on football because I keeper that cannot use a hand is not that helpful.
At least I’ve had a good pizza for dinner, and everything was supposed to get better.
And it didn’t, of course. I woke up hitting the head on the wall on Sunday, and a few minutes later I hit the finger, once again, on the upper side of the wardrobe.
That’s not all… While I was doing some navigation worksheets I heard a sudden boom like an explosion, then the door of the fridge opened and closed in a tenth of a second.
Actually, a can of coke was in contact with the freezer lower surface, it has frozen and exploded consequently.
During the late afternoon I decided to take a pleasant break, and since my passport was on my desk, I decided to file the form for Ryanair’s online check in for my Christmas flight.
The point is that I was supposed to leave on the 21st of December, but I’ve booked the flight for NOVEMBER. The “pleasant break” transformed into a painful search to find the most suitable and affordable flight to have a proper Christmas dinner at home.
My last weekend, as you can understand, has been a nightmare.
In return, the week hasn’t been so hard, we’ve had some time off to prepare next week’s exams, known as “Progress Test” (PT for friends).
They will take place next Friday and on the following Monday, a total of eight exams (one for each subject) and rules are pretty simple: if you pass you go ahead with your course, otherwise you go in the next course, actually it’s like wasting a month of ground school.
As you can imagine I’ve spent this week and the weekend reviewing old chapters, doing worksheet and question banks.
I will not say anything about my preparation and my confidence, but the next week report will be published after the results, so you’ll know.
Excluding the ground school it has been the same routine, the most exciting and relevant thing I did was finding a wire of Christmas lights in the corridor, so I actually got a kind of decoration for free.
Don’t you think they’re just perfect?
Ladies and gentlemen, that’s pretty all for this two weeks.
Better times, hopefully, will come… for now I’m grateful to have all my fingers working properly again.
Quote of the week:”When it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month or even your year” (The Rembrandts, “I’ll be there for you”).
