The official site of xEnviro is now feauturing v1.08 that has been released less than a hour ago.
The wait is finished! xEnviro gets another major update with shaders and haze fixed. No news about the seasonal package. Maybe the development has been put in stand-by due to the facts that happened to Andrey, but we’ll get into it soon (time to sleep now).
Please remember this is a work in progress. We had many impatient users begging for a release of 1.08 and Andrey decided to let it go as it is. xEnviro is never “finished” so there may be things the test team did not find. Also, please read the release notes about known bugs that will be fixed.
For now, the haze and fog is fixed, and there are some new sliders to play with to fine tune 1.08. Because it is more complex with “volumetric” fog, haze and clouds, if you slam the sliders and the weather is very “busy,” it will cost you some frame rates. Andrey pushed this one out in anticipation of better hardware to come, so experiment with it.
