The bug that involves both the Saab 340 and xEnviro is going to be solved by all the developer working togheter. Unfortunately, no news of when a fix will be provided.
The most noisy thing for LES Saab 340 users is the Saab 340 itself. I don’t mean it in a bad way, but they cannot fly it as long as they use xEnviro, and that’s because of a communication bug between the aircraft and the weather injector.
What we know actually is that X-Plane crashes while loading the Saab and, not hard to imagine, you have to choose between plane and weather plugin. That could be very annoying because you must uninstall xEnviro everytime you want to fly the Swedish prop.
The latest news regarding this big issue is that LES, Ben Russel (developer of Gizmo) and xEnviro team are working togheter to find a solution, that could be out maybe in the next few days if it depends on the aircraft since a new installer is going to be released to solve another bug (radio displays becoming black).
Just a small heads up on CTD’s and XEnviro. Today, I spoke to Andrey, who created XEnviro, and explained the situation. He’s agreed to help find the cause of the CTD’s, because it appears at the moment XEnviro begins to grab weather from the weather server, is when the CTD occurs. Steps are being taken, and, hopefully, we’ll find out what the cause is (XEnviro or the Saab) and a fix will be issued.
If the problem would depend on xEnviro it’s hard to know when a fix would be provided, maybe with the coming very soon v1.08 major update, bringing other many feautures.
